Comparison

We do not name them. You will recognize them.

Against the big American RMMs, OKTO RMM stands apart on five measurable points: a price in Canadian dollars ($2.99 per device) rather than US dollars, a $100-a-month minimum rather than 50 devices, a monthly commitment rather than one to three years, support from Quebec in French or English, and a dedicated instance per subscriber hosted in Quebec.

Their console is good. This comparison does not claim otherwise. The figures on the right are their most common public prices.

Three real cases

What does it change on an invoice?

The small MSP

31 devices, one and a half technicians

Elsewhere: billed on 50 devices, US$275 a month, about CA$374. With us: $100 a month. Over a year, $3,288 of difference, without counting the three-year contract that had to be signed.

$274 less per month

The growing MSP

180 devices, 4 technicians

Elsewhere: US$990, about CA$1,346, plus a licence for every new technician. With us: $538, unlimited technicians. The fifth technician costs nothing.

$808 less per month

The fleet

650 devices, 12 technicians

Elsewhere: US$3,575, about CA$4,862. With us: the whole fleet drops to $1.99, or $1,294 a month, with an instance sized for the volume and a named contact.

$3,568 less per month

What we will not say

That we are better everywhere.

Their console has ten years of polish and a community of thousands of MSPs. Ours has 432 releases since June 2026, runs on the fleet of a Quebec MSP, and the team that builds it is the one that answers you. If your fleet has 5,000 devices across three continents, we will tell you. If you have 30 to 800 devices in Quebec and you are tired of paying in US dollars, we built it for you.

What we will say

That the price is the price.

No first-year discount followed by a 30% increase at renewal. No “advanced” module that unlocks what you thought you had bought. No migration fees, no exit fees. What the calculator shows is what the invoice will say, taxes extra.

Questions

The questions we get about the comparison.

Why don't you name the competitors?
Because their prices, minimums and contracts change, and the comparison would be out of date at the next price list. The figures on the right are the most common public prices in 2026 at the main American vendors, for a comparable configuration. Yours is in your contract.
Does the exchange rate really matter?
On 180 devices at US$5.50, the invoice is US$990 a month, about CA$1,346 at an indicative rate of 1.36. It moves every month with the dollar. The same fleet on OKTO RMM costs CA$538, fixed, and the exchange rate never enters the equation.
What do I lose by leaving a big RMM?
A larger community, a longer partner catalogue and years of hindsight on the console. What we cannot replace, we say. What transfers as is: your PowerShell and Bash scripts, your organizations, your thresholds, your patch schedules, your PSA and antivirus integrations.
Does a 30-device MSP really gain anything?
That is where the gap is widest. Elsewhere, 30 devices are billed on a 50-device minimum, US$275 a month. With OKTO RMM the minimum is $100 a month, in Canadian dollars, for the whole fleet, with no three-year contract.
What if my fleet is 5,000 devices across several countries?
OKTO RMM is built and run for fleets of a few dozen to a few hundred devices in Quebec. A fleet of several thousand devices across continents is better served by a big RMM, and we will say so at the first exchange.
