Accessibility of the website.
The oktormm.ca website is designed to be read with the keyboard, with a visible focus indicator, a high contrast on a dark background, structured headings and all content present in the HTML without depending on a script. Animations respect the system's “reduce motion” setting. No formal WCAG audit has been carried out to date.
What is in place
- Full keyboard navigation, visible focus on every link, button and field.
- A single main heading per page and sections in second-level headings.
- Text at 17 pixels and up, high contrast of text on the dark background.
- Animated mock-ups carry a text description; animations stop if the system asks to reduce them.
- Tabs and frequently asked questions are native browser controls.
- Meaningful images have alternative text; decorative images are exempt.
What remains to be done
An audit against WCAG 2.2 level AA has not yet been conducted. The price calculator announces the slider's value through a description attribute, but a screen reader does not yet hear the savings recalculated live. These points are noted.
An obstacle met on the site can be reported to [email protected]; the fix is made in the next version of the site, and a reply is given within ten business days.
